We believe in: the Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

We believe in: Missions - both foreign and local.

Our members are very generous and eager to share with folks around the world and right in our own backyard. We support several mission-offering opportunities of the Presbyterian Church. When a disaster occurs anywhere in the world, the Presbyterian Disaster Relief (PDR) Committee is one of the first responders. Locally we support a hunger effort through a nearby day care center that serves welfare families. We have gathered presents at Christmas for a facility here in Landrum that serves special adults.

We believe in: Having Fun!

We are part of a ‘Cluster’ group with two other Presbyterian Churches in our area. Each church hosts a ‘social event’ during the year. This allows us to get to know our fellow Presbyterians. Plans for the future include joint educational programs and worship services.

We believe in: Sharing

During the week our facilities are used by community groups. AA of the Foothills meets in our Fellowship Hall on Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m., at no charge. We include this as one of our missions to the community. An exercise group, using the ancient form of Tai Ch’i, meets on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m., again at no charge for using the facility. See our events page for more ways you can get involved at Landrum Presbyterian Church.
